We often get asked about organic grass fed meat, and whether we carry it in Adelaide.
The answer is yes, we carry a large range of fresh frozen meat, including beef, chicken, and pork.
It ranges from what we have from certified organic beef & certified organic chicken, or regenerative Nomad Farms beef & chicken, to free range bacon that's also nitrate free and other pork cuts, as well as biodynamically grown lamb from the Flinders. It changes depending on which farmer has what booked in.
We believe that South Australia has some of the cleanest pastures and are lucky to work with some fantastic farmers who put regenerative & ethical live stock management into the forefront of what they do.
The regenerative Nomad Farms beef for example is completely grass fed & grass finished, and the cows are moved daily. The way Tom Bradman and his team manage the farm is incredible to see, with the cows having green pasture all year round, not even needing to add hay during the drier months, when the entire region is bare, so grass fed-grass finished. He then has the chickens that follow the cows, these are moved daily so they constantly have fresh pasture. The chickens don't have antibiotics given to them in the feed, and rarely get sick because they are on fresh new grass every day. We've gone to visit their farm and see it first hand, top notch, and this was during an extremely dry period, and they still had plenty of pasture. It was so cute to see the cows coming up to us, happy, and how we moved them into different paddocks.

Every now and again our certified organic & biodynamic stone fruit farmer in the Flinders has lamb & beef for us, which were given the second biodynamic stone fruit, and if you know about biodynamics, it's a complete farming system where animals play a key role in the cycle of a farm, providing natural fertiliser. No vaccines, no antibiotics. We've gone to visit this wonderful family too and stay at their place, incredible what they are doing.
Animal welfare, animal health, farm health are major priorities.
